ARTIST PROFILE

:: DODGE MUSIC (James Shipwright's) roots in music are based on an eclectic pool of genres & since a very young age began listening to everything from alternative punk, hardcore, synthpop, & metal- his first instrument was learning to play the guitar.

In the early 90's his world would change as he immersed himself in the emerging rave scene in the North of England and the new breed of underground electronic music that was being produced in the UK, Europe & the U.S. Dodge was hugely influenced by DJ's like Sasha & John Digweed especially as the music matured and began to take the form of the early progressive house coming from pioneering labels such as Willaim Orbit's Guerilla Records.

“Dodge's musical signature style is a mix of techno & melodic house always with an underground flavour & built for the dancefloor. He produces all of his music from his home studio which hosts an incredible collection of vintage synths & drum machines.”
